            Justin Black writes –“ I used the Wright Brothers potting soil mix.  I was very happy with the amount of water that the soil held.  The price very comparable to sunshine mix.  I used the 1 yard totes.  The one change I would have made is to have them mix it with perlite rather than pumice to lighten the soil a little more.  We have the best hanging baskets ever.  In my opinion this soil is much better that others on the market.  Also,  this company will do a custom mix for your needs.”

            Steve Lorenz said – “The perennial ferns were great. We planted them from 84 cell trays into a deep 5 ½ “ pot. They were grown in the greenhouse then we turned off the heat to harden them off. Then we put them outside before the Mother’s Day Sale . A very nice product”

Mary Brown uses Encarsia Formosa to control White Fly. Each adult Encarsia lays 100-200 eggs and each egg will kill one whitefly larva. The wasp develops inside the whitefly nymphs and emerges after 20 days.  

Mary has had no white fly this year!!!

She orders the cards with the Encarsia on strips on the cards. She puts out a card in the fall, in early spring-March and again 2 weeks later.
